Its Simulation Training Tools Can Be Used Anywhere, Anytime

MIAMI, Feb. 21, 2018 – Moments after a pair of first responders extract an accident victim from a crushed car and rescucitate him, they suddenly stop, take a step back – and debrief with a video playback.

The victim in this scenario is a wireless, tetherless HAL® patient simulator, and the video comes from the Care in Motion™ recording and playback system – two products that Gaumard Scientific Company is exhibiting at the EMS Today exposition, today through February 23 in booth 918 at the Charlotte, North Carolina Convention Center.

"Gaumard's goal is to help first responders stay a step ahead of the rapidly-changing demands of emergency preparedness by providing simulation training tools that can be used anywhere," Gaumard executive vice president John Eggert says. "As EMS face ever-more challenging scenarios, it's reassuring to know that they can sharpen their skills in a safe environment to better manage emergencies later in the real world."

Gaumard’s HAL simulators and Care in Motion video system set the highest training standards for EMS students and professionals, enabling them to practice patient assessment and treatment throughout the continuum of care, including point of injury, transport, and emergency room handoff.

Gaumard’s HAL Family

The HAL family ranges from comprehensive advanced wireless, tetherless simulators to skills trainers for every educational need and budget. HAL models on display at Gaumard’s booth at EMS Today include:

Care In Motion™ Video-Assisted Debriefing

Care In Motion™ is an innovative video recording and playback platform designed to help educators maximize participant learning through video-assisted debriefing. Care In Motion finally makes recording and playback simple enough for anyone to use, allowing educators to focus on delivering the best debriefing and learning experience possible.

Simply power on Care In Motion and tap the screen to wirelessly record audio and video from multiple sources simultaneously, whether at the point of injury or in transit, without interruption.

Care In Motion allows educators to record exercises and playback sessions for debriefing -- all from one place. The Care In Motion tablet and HD wireless cameras are seamlessly integrated with Gaumard's UNI® operating system to automatically capture and synchronize simulator patient vitals, sensor data and patient interaction with video in real time.
